The final goal of the project is to develop an Action Plan for intermodal freight services, including identifying the strategic infrastructure; and building the capacities of SDD and other stakeholders (SDD and other relevant units of the Ministry of Transport and Infrastructure (MoTI)) to improve intermodal transport operations in rail freight services,

 

• In line with the strategic goals and objectives of the Ministry of Transport and Infrastructure, in order to contribute to the development of the country; shifting freight transport from road to rail,
• Describing the development process of a rail-based intermodal transport system to achieve a more balanced modal split and the project paves the way for a safer, environmentally friendly transport system.
